Consciousness Study Group
Are you interested in exploring
leading-edge ideas and information under the umbrella of
consciousness studies? If so, join me and others in this six-month
(6 meetings) study group. Using a variety of media, experiential
exercises, and group discussion, I will guide you toward a better
understanding of what is being discovered about the nature of
consciousness, as well as how this information can help transform the way
you view the world in general and the meaning of your life in particular.
We will focus on 6 areas: |
What is Consciousness?
We will look at the work of Peter Russell as well as other scientists and
researchers in the field to gain a better understanding of what we are
coming to understand about consciousness. Various models of consciousness
will be introduced. (Not boring, I promise!)
The Near-Death Experience
Near-Death Experiencers know
without question that we are more than a physical body. We can learn much
about consciousness by hearing them tell about this powerful experience
and how their lives have been profoundly changed by it.
The Truth About Psi (Parapsychology)
The reality of paranormal phenomena has
been demonstrated over and over again. On this night, we will take a look
at the history of Psi research. We’ll also become more familiar with the
modern Psi application of remote viewing through the work of David
Morehouse, a former “psychic spy” for the military. |
Everything
is Interconnected
Scientists and mystics agree: All
is part of the One. We will explore more deeply the
concept of “the field of consciousness” by looking first at Dean Radin’s Theory
of Entanglement, then learning about Dr. Emoto’s work with
photographing water crystals which have been changed by human thoughts &
feelings.
Strengthening Our Right-Brain Skills
The right hemisphere of the brain
allows for the greatest access to our emotions, intuition, creativity,
mental imagery, and inspiration—all powerful tools of human consciousness.
Participants will learn ways to tap into the powerful abilities of these
so-called right-brain thinking skills.
Consciousness in Health & Healing
Whether we are aware of it or not,
our thoughts and feelings influence not only our becoming ill but also our
becoming well again. On this, our final night, we will look at the work of a
variety of leaders in the movement toward understanding the body/mind
connection. |

What others have said about this
study group with Pat: I liked
learning about things I've never seen or known about before.
The topics were provocative & mind
expanding. Pat has a good insight into current studies—very in tune with the
changing world.
The discussions were great! Pat was well
prepared and led the discussions in such a way that everyone participated
and felt a part of the group.
I enjoyed the interactions with others,
and felt comfortable asking questions and making comments. I was awed by all
that I was exposed to, and [experienced] the opening of my mind and
awareness. |
